How does the app blocking actually work?
Muslim Mode uses your phone's own screen-time controls to pause the apps you choose for each prayer window — at the system level, not an overlay you can swipe past. Calls, messages, maps and everything you didn't select keep working.
How accurate are the prayer times?
Times are calculated for your exact GPS location using trusted methods — ISNA, Muslim World League and Umm al-Qura — and you can adjust each prayer by hand. They update automatically as you travel.
Is this a free athan app?
There's a free 7-day trial with full access to prayer times, adhan alerts, the Qibla compass and the Qur'an reader. After that, plans start at $3.33 a month billed annually. If you genuinely can't afford it, write to us and we'll give it to you free.
Can I read Qur'an to unlock my apps?
Yes. You can set reading as the key: your chosen apps stay sealed until you've read your daily portion. It turns the impulse to scroll into the habit of reading.
What if I genuinely need my phone during a prayer window?
Only the apps you selected are locked, and there's a deliberate emergency unblock for real situations — deliberate enough that the feed never qualifies.
Does it show Ramadan suhoor and iftar times?
Yes — suhoor (sehri), imsak and iftar times for your location, a countdown to the month, and a Hijri calendar shown beside your own.
